Instructional Technology Council Grants Awards to CSI, MBA Program

The Instructional Technology Council (ITC) recently named UMUC's Center for Support of Instruction (CSI) and the MBA program among the recipients of its 2010 Awards for Excellence in eLearning. CSI won the award for Outstanding Technical Support and Service, and the MBA program was named Outstanding eLearning Program.

UMUC 111 Virtual Meet & Greet Wins WOW Award

UMUC 111 Virtual Meet & Greet was named a recipient of a 2009 WCET Outstanding Work (WOW) Award in October for its efforts in improving interactions among online students and faculty in Computer Information Systems and Technology (CITE) programs.

DE Oracle Wins Two of Three Awards for UMUC at Global Learning Conference

The DE Oracle @ UMUC was recently honored as a standout in its use and implementation of technology to support and enhance learning outcomes worldwide when it was awarded a Bronze Learning Impact Award by the IMS Global Learning Consortium (IMS) at its annual conference and summit in Barcelona in May. The e-zine also won the Best in Category, Faculty Development Network award.

DE Oracle Named a Finalist in International Awards Program

The DE Oracle @ UMUC was recently named a finalist in the 2009 Learning Impact awards program sponsored by the IMS Global Learning Consortium.

UMUC undergraduates wrote an EPA grant proposal with Dr. Sabrina Fu and Dr. Debra McLaughlin in the fall of 2007. The EPA awarded their grant proposal for 2008-2009. Read about how this was done and view the results of their work!

UMUC Presenters and Award Winners at MDLA 2008 Conference

The theme for the Maryland Distance Learning Association and College of the Air Distance Education Consortium's 2008 Conference was "Network of Learning." UMUC was well represented at the conference held in Towson in March 2008. UMUC faculty and staff presented sessions on a variety of relevant topics and also won the Best Distance Learning Course award.

Congratulations to Our 2007 UCEA Award Winners

UMUC was well represented at the UCEA Mid-Atlantic Region Conference 2007 Awards for Excellence Ceremony. The four categories in which UMUC won awards include Administrative Support, Faculty and Staff Development, Credit Program Development, and Outstanding Continuing Education Student.

The UMUC Common Syllabus Tool Project Wins the 2007 UCEA Mid-Atlantic Region Award for Administrative Support

UCEA acknowledges the administrative importance of UMUC's Common Syllabus Tool project. As part of the next generation/versions of WebTycho, the syllabus tool is a technological solution designed to allow for the storage and use of team developed "common" worldwide syllabi.

Sloan-C Award for CTLA 201

CTLA 201, Teaching with WebTycho Training Course is the winner of the prestigious Sloan-C 2006 Excellence in Faculty Development for Online Teaching Award.
