About the DE Oracle
DE Oracle @ UMUC is an online ezine for faculty, developed, promoted and maintained by the Center for Support of Instruction (CSI). This bimonthly periodical provides numerous articles, useful tips and links to outside resources that are tailored to the online course delivery, which is predominant at UMUC.
Several UMUC prominent communities share their knowledge and expertise in supporting online instruction. These include faculty, Library Services, Information Technology, Center for Teaching and Learning and CSI.
Faculty and staff are encouraged to submit publications to DE Oracle to share their personal teaching experiences, and therefore sharing these positive and inspiring experiences with their fellow faculty.
Since its inception in 2001, DE Oracle has grown considerably. This growth called for a major site revamp of the site in order to improve the article submission process, to better target search results and to advance overall ease of navigation and aesthetics of the site.
